Originally developed for military use for added protection against shrapnel damage to helicopters, paint protection film is a durable urethane layer of film that is applied to the paint surface. Now adapted for commercial use, it protects against scratches, rock chips, bug splatters, and most minor abrasions. How it works

There are a couple different methods to applying PPF - using pre cut or hand cut film. Once the film is cut, next comes fitting it for each section and shape where it will be installed. Then it is sprayed with a fitting solution which activates the adhesive.
Application
This next step takes a technician years to master. Using a combination of spraying, gliding, and squeegeeing out bubbles, the PPF installer guides the film into its perfect fit. Finally, the film is dried using a heat process, giving the material its tightest fit. The PPF is now bonded to the paint and will last many years.
